Hi! I'm not sure if this is permitted here but I'm going to try..
I am currently an honors student in the University of Queensland and am doing a thesis on Coping Styles, Alcohol use, Self-Injury and Culture..
I would need to survey a total of 300 people for my thesis project from a variety of cultural backgrounds.. I am sorry if I have unintentionally offended anyone by asking you to complete this survey and assure you I have no intention of doing so. I am hoping that this thesis project would lead to greater understanding of Self-Injury and would allow more effective help to be provided to those who seek it.
I have gotten ethics approval to seek responses from the general public from the ethic committee of UQ.
This survey will only take less than 10 mins of your time but would be of great help to me..

Went to chinatown for dinner.
Ate ALOT.
my tummy's aching a bit from the stretch. But it was all good.
Koon made me go for dinner cause he was jealous that I was going to Scott's social night and I didnt go for his graduation ceremony or something, even though he didnt even ask me. And he thinks that I always say no to going out with him.
So this is proof that I'm not that bad.
List of food Koon and I gobbled down:
1. Very tasty Pineapple rice
2. Fried Kway Tiao
3. A very big sweet and sour fish
4. 2 cans of drink
5. One large durian
6. 2 bottles of liang teh
I wanted to find snow skin mooncakes.
oh well.

Today, I went wakeboarding with Matthew, Weekoh, Shing and Mark.
I'm totally burnt.
and I declare it pure fun.
At the start it was hard trying to get it, but after a while, it was really quite alot of fun.
VERY tiring, and a pretty expensive sport, but I say it again, A LOT OF FUN.
though I don't know if I can convince myself to go again.
I probably will.heh.
next time I'll put more sunblock.
no pics cause I didnt want to spoil my new cam by exposing it to heat and sea water.
BUT, i'll try to take a picture of my sunburnt face, which has the marking of my blasted sunglasses. blegh.
I end the day aching and feeling like i'm still on the boat, but really happy :)

I have been given a really tough topic to present on in South Asia class.
Now I remember why, two semesters ago, I told myself not to do anymore South Asia modules.
But somehow, the pull of a gendered module was too great for my feminist mind.
So now I have to figure out how I am going to make my stand that Female foeticide in South Asia can be justified as a method of family planning and population control
See how hard that is?
How can I advocate killing of humans?
I have two weeks to think about how to convince 24 bright University undergrads that my stand is better than the one of a year one.
YES, my opposition party is a year one.
So NOW you know why I got the harder stand.
I'm so stressed.
And its only the 3rd week of school.

I have a mosquito bite on the sole of my foot.
It's really irritating cause it itches.
But when i scratch, i get ticklish.
not a nice feeling.
Anyway, today was ok.
originally 6 hours of tutorial
BUT, my south asia tutorial only took half the time, and my lab was cancelled. So i only had 3 hours.
but i am still tired out.
This body of mine is really aging i tell you.
i still have 2 more cupcakes in the fridge.
And they are yummy.
*Tempt tempt*
maybe i should make cupcakes and sell them during my hols.
ESPECIALLY since my hols will be christmas period.

The wireless at home is still down.
stealing time on the common com to type out an entry.
I'm having the flu i think...
my eyes feel puffy, my throat is scratchy.
I sneeze more than usual
I sound pretty nasal.
School's starting to kick into full gear.
its my second last semester and I still havent really realised that.
In a couple of months, I'll be 21... ahhhhh!!!
In less than a year, I'll be out of school here and preparing to go into university overseas.
I do so feel old.

I'm still trying to get used to the new IVLE.
It's so confusing.
I couldnt download my lecture notes for a while cause the zip file had nothing in it.
It's pretty annoying.
Sorry for not blogging so often.. cause my wireless is down..
So i only can blog when i'm in school, or when i tap into my neighbour's wireless.
Not like it matters.
School's pretty exciting still.
And i'm quite happy i'll be pretty busy studying so i am not obliged to do many things. :)

I was just thinking about the many prayers God has answered recently...
Last week, I was a dollar away from my target and the store was 5 mins away from closing. I prayed and a person came along to buy a bunch of things that came up to over a hundred. I also found out that I left a few memos at the cashier and so I wasnt really short in hitting my target :)
On wednesday I left the house late and I was really worried I would be late for work. My counter manager doing morning shift and it wasnt going to be a pretty sight if i was late. DW prayed with me and I managed a record breaking travelling time of 20 mins from my home to raffles city. That itself is amazing if it is just to orchard.. God is good.
On thursday, I was $10 from hitting my target. I was contemplating about buying a sponge for myself so that I could hit my target. I prayed and asked God to send someone in to buy an eyebrow pencil or something. In the last 20 mins, a girl walked in and asked to buy our eyebrow pencil. God was just so real.
Today, I recieved an answer for a question I've been praying about for a whole year :)
So, when people ask how I know God is real,
I know cause I experience Him.

everytime I play for service, I look forward to playing with a certain bunch of people.
Everytime we play together, I feel happy. Joyful.
Today, we had our rehearsal.
Finished in less than an hour.
Throughout the rehearsal, I couldnt stop smiling.
We were moving as a whole band, being sensitive about the parts each person was playing.
We blended so well together I could just imagine the heavenly conductor standing in front of us, guiding us.
I was dead tired from work but during that rehearsal, I felt myself slowly feeling refreshed and renewed.
My heart pumped a little faster than usual..
The adrenaline rush of being there, playing my best...sounding good enough for the King.
Serving should feel like that.
Especially when we are playing for the Most High.
My dream?
To feel this way whenever I play.

Work work work.
sales today was good.
My total sales today was equivilent to yesterday's overall sales.
I think i'm working a bit too much though..
Fell asleep on the bus and starting dreaming...
I dreamt I was back at work, selling loose powder.
Mad right?
hahaha.. yes.
Oh well.. 2 more weeks of work, then i'm off to rest for a little before school starts.
things to do during my 2 weeks before school starts:
1. cycling
2. play tennis/squash/some sport
3. go to the beach for an evening.. actually, I feel like another chalet.
4. loose some flab.
5. spend time with people who matter.
tt's not alot right? haha.. but 2 weeks...
that's all my 3 month holiday has been reduced to.. ahhhh!

now that my weekdays are packed with work, everything else has to be done on the weekends.
So my weekends are packed.
1. go sks to get CG materials.
2. go meet the girl who made my life hell for three months by being so difficult in paying up 48 bucks
3. worship rehearsal
4. harry potter movie
5. go visit yeh yeh
6. go to the river island sale!
yeah. I'm quite tired. but oh well.. this was the life i chose i guess.
My entries have been really boring.
No pics, nothing but my rambles.
But.. tt's what the blog is for anyway.

I had a friend.
She was mad.
It seemed that she loved to make people's lives miserable.
You know, now after she volunteered to step out of our lives, we live much happier.
The story is just too long to tell.
And too tedious.
Actually, she should already be happy I dedicated a whole entry to her.
I just saw her with some guy today..
No one's surprised.
I pity the guy. I really do.
I really dunno what else to say about her.
Actually, too much has already been said.
